Charley has been passed over and over again for the younger, cuter or prettier dog. From the start, his life was a struggle, he practically grew up in the MS shelter, had a horrible case of mange and then needed to be treated for Heartworms. All this to end up on the euthanasia list. Well, Charley's luck is about to change. He is now in PA being spoiled rotten awaiting his forever home. He is a Lab/Shar Pei mix (best guess) who is about 12-15 months old (May). He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. No accidents in the crate for this boy!! Initially ,he is a tad shy but once Charley trusts you, his love is endless. He will lavish you with kisses and melt on your lap. He still has those silly puppy moments but for the most part, Charley is well behaved. He is EXCELLENT in the car and walks well on a leash (most of the time) and takes treats very gingerly from your hand. His favorite thing is to chase a ball and bring it back. Leaving it is another thing, it is a work in progress. This boy loves kids and the attention they shower him with. He cat tested well, with a slow introduction everyone will get along. His willingness to please makes him a fast learner. He had "sit" in minutes. Charley's needs are simple, lots of love, praise and a tennis ball (or even a stick). A good long walk tuckers him out and then you have a cuddle bug for the night. He will worm his way into your heart if given a chance! Please call Wags @ 267-238-7892 (Colleen). UPDATE: WE NEED HELP FINDING OUR BELOVED CHARLEY. HE WAS IN TOWHEE PARK IN HAYCOCK, BUCKS COUNTY, SUNDAY JUNE 7 AND WENT CHASING A RABBIT. PLEASE HELP US FIND HIM. HE IS SWEET BUT SCARED. REWARD FOR SAFE RETURN. ANSWERS TO CHARLEY OR CHAR-CHAR!
