Siberian Husky - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog - Connor
Description
Poor sweet Connor is a Siberian Husky, about 5 years old. He was brought to an Ohio shelter as a stray. He was clearly neglected, as he is a mere 34 pounds. Thanks to Eva for coordinating his removal from the shelter, and Christine for pulling him and getting him to the vet, he is now safe. He is slightly anemic and his liver function studies are a little elevated, but we think that is due to his malnutrition. His right eye is swollen, but the pressures are normal, so we're not sure what it is. He is definitely blind in that eye, and likely blind in the other as well. He is also heartworm positive, but he's too weak to undergo treatment now. So, in the meantime, he will be busy getting his strength back. Once he puts some weight on he will be treated for heartworm. He is currently living in a vet clinic in Ohio. Once he is better he will travel to his foster home in PA. Despite being so ill, he wags at everyone he meets. He has met other dogs well, and even a cat! Connor means strong will, and he certainly has that! Stay tuned for updates as Connor recovers. If you have any questions about Connor, please email us at info@blinddogrescue.com.
