At times, and for many reasons, our animals go into foster homes and get adopted out from there rather than the shelter. This animal is in foster care, not at the shelter. Please use the email contact information for the foster family to set up a meet & greet or to get more information. Louie is loving his second chance at life! He has gone from a sad, lonely shelter dog....to a cheerful, content member of his foster family! Now, Louie is in search of his perfect forever home! Louie is a medium size male, approximately one year old, and was picked up by animal control because his family could no longer afford him. Louie has very unique, handsome features and looks to be a Bull Terrier/Pitbull mix. He's never short on kisses and will keep you entertained as he chases his toys, rolls around in the grass, and just enjoys being in your company! This happy pup has lots of love to give and is such a pleasure to be around. Louie is currently learning all his basic commands and how to walk nicely on a leash and is progressing very well. He is a very smart, attentive boy who aims to please. Louie is housebroken, seems to like other dogs, neutered, up to date on shots, and ready to settle into a permanent home! Our Philadelphia Adoption Hours are: Monday - Friday, 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Saturday - Sunday, 10 A.M. until 4 P.M. The adoption center is closed on all major holidays. To adopt from the PSPCA you will need one form of identification which includes your name and current address. And, if you rent, landlord approval is required. As an added benefit, PSPCA is giving new pet parents a ShelterCare Gift insurance policy. The ShelterCare Gift provides accident and illness protection for 30 days starting on the date of your adoption. The adoption fee is $75 for adult dogs, $125 for puppies under six months, $50 for cats over six months, and $75 for kittens. Please inquire at the Adoption Center for adoption fees on any other type of animal. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and debit cards. (Checks are not accepted, sorry.)
