German Shepherd Dog - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - Tawn
Description
Tawn is a 3-4 year old German Shepherd mix. He was picked up by animal control in Alabama, and was scheduled to be put down due to overcrowding. He is very good with other dogs, and low energy, however that may be due to the fact that is is said to have heartworm disease. He is scheduled for HW treatment next week, and will need a home that is quiet and calm for his recovery period, which is about 6-8 weeks after treatment. If you would like to help this sweet guy get the rest he needs to be back to full health, please email us for an application. UPDATE: Tawn has been treated for heart worm successfully and is ready for his forever home. His foster Mom says he is really good with his sister dog and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to play with her. He knows a little obedience but needs someone who will practice with him. He will sit, come when called and walks ok on a leash. He is well behaved inside the house. He is a very sweet boy and would make a great family pet. He would be better in a home without cats because he likes to chase them.
