I came to live with my foster family in February of 2009. My caretaker passed away in December. I am lucky to have such a good foster family, but they cannot keep me because they already have a dog, and the lady of the house is 90 years old and unable to care for me properly. I am between 5 and 6 years old. I have not been neutered, but will be before I go to my new home. My foster family has taken me to the vet a few times because I have a problem with my bowels. It turns out I have a hernia. Were not sure if its from the stress of losing my master, or something else. Its gotten better over the months Ive been with my foster family, but its still not perfect. It could be corrected with surgery, but my foster family cannot afford it. Basically, it just takes me longer to relieve myself. I have lots of fresh vegetables in my food which keeps my stool from getting too hard. That helps a lot. I probably will want to continue to eat vegetables even when Im totally healthy. I love to play. Im good at running after my toys if you throw them. I need a little practice at learning to drop them so the game lasts a little longer. Im very affectionate and roll on my back to have my belly scratched when Im sure youre my friend. Im a big boy about 75 lbs. Im a good watchdog; very protective of my home and family. As soon as I know youre ok with my family, youre ok with me. Im pretty good with other dogs too, although alpha females seem not to like me too much. Maybe that will change after Im neutered. Please consider visiting me if you might be interested in adopting me. I have had a rough time losing my caretaker.
