Cocker Spaniel - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Peaches
Description
UPDATE: Peaches is an adorable 6 year old female silver buff cocker who was previously adopted into a new home. Her new mommy loved her, unfortunately her other cocker didnt feel the same way, so Peaches had to be returned to us. Prior to being adopted, Peaches had successful cataract surgery in her right eye, and she can see just fine. She is up to date on everything, and she is good to go. Peaches is fine with other dogs or cats, provided they are not aggressive towards her. Peaches is currently living with 4 other cockers, and she is doing just fine. Peaches is GREAT with people. She loves to give kisses and have her belly rubs, and she will follow you everywhere. She would be a perfect fit for someone who is home most of the day, such as a retiree who would love her company. And yes, she loves to sleep in mom and/or dads bed at night. She really is a sweet little girl. She came to us as a stray, loaded with fleas, worms, and was a matted mess. These problems have been addressed, and she is good to go. She also has a cataract in her left eye, which hinders her sight a bit, but she gets around just fine. Peaches is a very friendly little girl. She loves attention, gives kisses, and will follow you everywhere. She gets along fine with other dogs, but will guard her food.at mealtime She would be best suited for someone who is home most of the time as she does not like to be left alone, and since her sight is a bit compromised, a fenced in yard is a must. No exceptions. Peaches has been spayed, and is housebroken. 10/12/08 -- I'm such a lucky girly. I have now been vetted. My worms are gone, so are the fleas. My matts have been shaved off and I can run in the yard now. I'm heartworm/lyme negative, but being treated for a little skin infection. All those bugs and matts make a mess. My left eye does have a cataract, but I can still see. My right eye is ok, and I was checked from head to paw. I will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. I like other dogs and really like my foster daddy -- he talks to me. 10/7/08 Peaches just got into our care and her foster daddy is learning all about her. She was found as a stray, running in traffic. A good samaratin scooped her up and looked for her owner, as she wasn't wearing a collar or any tags. She was checked for a mircrochip too. She is in the process of being shaved down. Her matts were pretty bad, she was infested with fleas and worms, but all of that is being taken care of now. She even kissed Mike as he was grooming her. She's happy and friendly to all. She'll be fully vetted and we'll have her left eye checked out before adoption. That eye is cloudy and perhaps she has a cataract. She would do well in a home with another dog, and someone around to pamper her, she likes company. Fostering in Stowe, PA. If interested, please fill out our adoption application APPLICATION
