UPDATE: After Christa arrived from the shelter, we discovered that she was suffering from untreated hind-leg and pelvic injuries (probably hit by a car). The damage can be repaired with orthopedic surgery, and she should be good as new once she heals. The surgery is very expensive, butthis puppy is such a sweetheart that we feel she deserves to live a pain-free life. Any donations toward Christa's medical expenses would be a tremendous help; if you prefer to donate directly to her veterinary hospital account, please contact us and we can tell you how to do that.
