My husband and I adopted him a year ago when he was about 10 months. We've been told that Oliver is a Shepherd/Beagle mix. Oliver lives with our 7 year old Rottie and our 17 year old cat. He is happy and playful. However, he does have food aggression. Our vet put him on Prozac, but it doesn't seem to help. Last week he bit me as I attempted to retrive a bully stick he took from our Rottie. br>We'd be willing to work with him regarding this issue, but my husband and I just learned that after several years waiting we will be becoming adoptive parents to an infant. Our vet and trainer strongly recommended we get a new home for Oliver, as the situation would not be safe. We live in a small space and managing Oliver around the baby would be impossible. We don't want to keep him in a crate all day. He has such a wonderful spirit. We are afraid that if we take him to a shelter he will be put down. Once people hear he has a bite history the case is closed. Is there anyway you can help us? We are so attached to Oliver and want him to have a good and loving home.
